How can I help those affected by the Texas floods?
On July 4th, Central Texas was devastated by heavy rainfall, leading to flooding which impacted nearby Camp Mystic. In some areas near Kerrville and San Angelo, up to 14.46 inches of rain fell—more than a season’s worth in just hours. The Guadalupe River rose 22 feet in three hours, reaching its second-highest level on record before floodwaters damaged monitoring equipment. This is considered a 1-in-100-year event, and its impact is severe. The situation remains active. Roads are washed out, rescues are ongoing, and many families are displaced. Many lives have been lost, people are still missing, and the rain has left both physical and emotional debris in its wake. For many, this tragedy weighs heavy on our hearts and minds. Across the state, church leaders and disaster relief organizations are partnering to provide relief to the families impacted. As a community and church body, we want to come together to support those in crisis. Here are ways for you to get involved:
PRAY: Prayer is in our DNA at ACF & is our most impactful first step.
Join us in the ACF Prayer Barn Monday-Thursday from 12-1pm for Prayer Hour as we intercede for our church and nation. Fridays we pray together over Zoom.

VOLUNTEER:
Updates are happening daily as our local partners Serve Source and Austin Disaster Relief Network continue to monitor and assess the situation. Efforts to support victims of the flood will be long-term. There are several opportunities arising each day to assist with cleanup. We are encouraging those of you who would like to get involved to partner in these two ways:
- Individuals: We encourage you to sign up through our friends at Hill Country Bible Church, as they are offering several opportunities over the next few weeks in partnership with Austin Disaster Relief Network. You can sign up to volunteer here.
- Groups: If you are in a small group and your entire small group is interested in serving, please reach out to our local mission’s leader Taylor Gregg at for more information.
