Together 1:17

What is your purpose? What is your call? Isaiah 1:17 says this to each of us:

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

So how can you defend the cause of vulnerable children? First, PRAY. Then LEARN. Learn about the needs in your community, learn about kids who could use your kindness as a mentor, a friend, a family member. And INVEST. Invest your time, invest your care, invest your gifts and talents. SERVE locally.

God calls us to care for the least of these, specifically He calls us to “vindicate the weak and the fatherless.” (Psalm 82:3) There are many ways to provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of orphans and waiting children – for a season or a lifetime.
