Our Beauty from Ashes gathering has been cancelled.

We’re following CDC and City of Austin guidelines on group gatherings during the rapidly changing COVID-19 virus containment measures. All pre-paid registrations have been issued an electronic refund.

We want to encourage you to do the following things in lieu of attending the event. You can do these on your own or gather a few friends to do this together:

  1. Read through Isaiah 61 several times. This is the chapter that our theme for the gathering was taken from. It’s a beautiful passage that was written 700 years before the birth of Christ. It’s a prophecy about a new, Spirit-anointed king who will come to do what Israel neglected….caring for the poor and needy, comforting those who mourn, bringing hope instead of despair, rebuilding and repairing what has been ruined, giving a crown of beauty for ashes. Jesus quotes from Isaiah 61 in Luke 4:16-21 and declares that He is the one who fulfills this prophecy!
  2. Take these words from Isaiah 61 and turn them into a prayer. Ask our Messiah, Jesus, to bring about the areas of repair or restoration you might need in your own life right now. And, thank Him for the places where you have seen Him give you beauty for ashes. You can start with this prompt: “God, I have seen you bring beauty from ashes…”
  3. Listen to and sing along with these two worship songs. Offer praise to Jesus for the work He’s already done and is doing in your life!

Be looking for regular communication from ACF via email and social media on how to stay informed and connected during these challenging times. If you are not currently receiving ACF electronic communications, please sign up now here.

As we are in a new day in our country, join with us in praying this crisis will provide greater opportunities to share the love of Jesus to those in our community. May His peace continue to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus in the days ahead (Philippians 4:6-7). If you have questions or want help connecting with other women during this time, please reach out to us at women@acfellowship.org.
