These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  1 Peter 1:6-7

Razor Drive

Gentlemen:

At this years men's retreat, we have an opportunity to minister to U.S. soldiers that have been wounded in combat.  Think for a minute what it must be like for a soldier that has been wounded in combat. I can only imagine the loneliness and isolation that they must feel as they are not only away from their family, but now away from their unit as they are transported to a military hospital, perhaps with a life threatening wound.

If you have ever been out of the country for an extended period of time, you know that it is the little things that you miss the most. Good quality razors are the most requested item by the male soldiers. At the retreat we will be collecting good quality, new, disposable razors (such as Mach 3, Gilette Sensor 3 or Fusion, Schick Xtreme, etc.) for wounded soldiers sent to Landstuhl military hospital in Germany. This is the largest military hospital outside of the U.S. and they get up to 1,000 military patients a month.

On Friday night at the retreat, we will have a donation bin where you can deposit your razors. Please don't forget to pick up a package or two of good quality disposable razors next time you are at the store.

Thanks and God bless!
