How Can I Discover My Spiritual Gifts?
We believe that God distinctly equips each Christ follower for certain kinds of ministries. He gives each of us a S.H.A.P.E. that defines where we can best serve His church (see below). Wise stewardship requires that each of us know our particular S.H.A.P.E. so that we can be both fulfilled and fruitful. We need to know our:
- Spiritual Gifts - what am I gifted to do?
- Heart - what do I love to do?
- Abilities - what am I good at?
- Personalities - how can my traits best match a ministry?
- Experiences - how can my past best shape my influence?
Discovering Your Spiritual Gift
A spiritual gift is a supernatural ability, given by the Holy Spirit to believers, to equip them to minister to others on Christ’s behalf. Below is a summary of what the Bible teaches on the subject of spiritual gifts:
