Things You'd Like to Know
Child Security and Check-in
When you visit Camp Fun for the first time, you will be asked to fill out a family information card. This information will be entered into our computers and kept private. Guests to Camp Fun should check in at the computer stations at the Check-in Desk where you will receive nametags for your children and Security ID receipts for you to use to pick your children up.
When you are ready to make ACF your church, let us know at the Camp Fun Desk and we will add you to our regular attendees. At that point, your family will receive TWO Camp Fun cards that you can keep in your wallet. Each of these cards will contain a unique barcode on the back. These barcodes will be connected to your family’s information. After receiving your cards, you can use them to check-in at any one of our self check-in kiosks. There you will be able to print nametags for each child & Security ID receipts for yourself. If you lose one of our Camp Fun cards, please let us know immediately so that we can deactivate it and get you a new one.
Please note that you must have your Security ID receipt and show it to the classroom volunteer in order to pick up your children. Each receipt will have a random code listed for each of your children and Camp Fun volunteers will check those codes to ensure that your children are only picked up by you.
Security
Security is very important to us. Camp Fun completes screening forms & criminal background checks on all individuals working with our kids. We also ask that only parents and guardians drop-off and pick-up children.
Wellness Policy
In order to insure the health of all individuals, sick children will not be admitted into Camp Fun. Some signs of illness are:
Unusual fatigue or irritability
Coughing or sneezing not caused by seasonal allergies
Green, runny nose
Fever (in the last 24 hours)
Vomiting or diarrhea (in the last 24 hours
Inflamed throat
Unexplained rash
Our staff assists in keeping your child healthy by following strict hygiene procedures and washing toys with Clorox on a regular basis.
Special Needs
If your child has special needs, we encourage you to call our offices at 512-381-5714 or to contact us at campfun@acfellowship.org. We will assist you in finding out how we can best meet the needs of your child. We treat each child with special needs as an individual. We seek to give them the opportunity to participate in the same activities as other kids in Camp Fun as they are able. We designate a volunteer to be the "Friend" of each special needs child, and to care for their needs throughout Camp Fun.
