How We Live
We live to honor God in everything we do. Over the years He has given us clear instruction on how to do this through our Mission, our Values and our Vision statements.
Our Mission:
To enable the seeker of purpose, meaning and truth to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
Our Values:
- Simplicity (Acts 15:19) - The truth of the gospel is scandalous enough; we will not add to it. A relationship with God is achieved through faith alone.
- Quality (Acts 14:1) - The style and substance of our presentation will express the exquisite nature of whom we proclaim.
- Community (Acts 14:19-20) - We will pursue spiritual growth in the context of authentic relationships. We will be a safe harbor for those in need and we will foster accountability among Christ followers.
- Integrity (2 Corinthians 8:20-21) - Throughout our organization we will be above reproach in all we do, not only in the eyes of God, but also in the eyes of men.
- Authority (Mark 4:26-29) - Because the Bible is God's inspired word, we will follow it as the authority in our policies and practices.
Our Vision:
- Other's Centered Church (Philippians 2:3-4) - We intend to be a generous congregation, giving a significant amount of our time and treasures serving ministries around Austin and around the world.
- Next Generation Church (Psalm 78:4-6) - We believe the best way to impact a city is to fill its future with bright, godly, capable leaders. As a result, ACF places major emphasis on ministries to children and youth.
- Leader Developing/Sending Church (Matthew 28:18-20) - ACF is a leader-rich environment. As a result, we emphasize identifying, developing, and deploying leaders into ministries of ACF and around the world.
- Faith-Based Budgeting Church (Matthew 14:16-21) - We plan our ministry vision and budget our resources based on what we believe God is calling us to do, not just on what we think we can afford or accomplish on our own.
